Ddamulira and Sons Foundation was founded on the conviction that sustainable change must be holistic. Too often, development efforts focus on only one need — a classroom without health, a borehole without livelihoods, or sports without education. We chose a different path. We asked: what does a thriving community actually look like? The answer led us to seven interconnected pillars: education, sports and recreation, health, skills development, agriculture, environmental protection, and basic services.
Today, the Foundation owns and operates several flagship institutions that deliver these pillars daily. St. Henry’s Foundation Schools provide quality education to children who would otherwise be left behind. Ssubi Soccer Academy under the Ssuubi Sports Empire program turns talent into careers while keeping academics first. Reffer Automotive Research and Skilling Centre addresses Uganda and Africa’s youth unemployment crisis by teaching practical, marketable skills. Karibu Africa Festival celebrates culture while creating income and tourism opportunities. Around these, we run health outreaches, farmer training, tree planting campaigns, and water projects.
What makes us different is ownership. We don’t just fund short-term activities and leave. We own the schools, the academies, the workshops, and the festivals. That means accountability, long-term planning, and a personal stake in results. Our team is made up of educators, coaches, engineers, farmers, and community leaders who live and work in the communities we serve..
To advance inclusive and sustainable community development by providing equitable access to quality education, competitive sports and recreation, preventive health services, practical skills training, modern agriculture, environmental conservation, and essential basic services that improve quality of life for all.
World where every society has educated citizens, skilled youth, healthy families, thriving farms, clean environments, and vibrant cultural life, communities that shape their own future with confidence and dignity.
